About

Carlota Margherita was born in Mexico City and studied Product Design in Milan and Brunswick. Early on, her grandmother (a portrait artist) opened the door to painting and awakened a lifelong curiosity for colors, faces, and stories.

Over the years, Carlota has experimented with oil, acrylics, charcoal, spray paint, and mixed media, always searching for new ways to capture emotion on canvas. Her path has led her through Madrid, Istanbul, Berlin, and Hamburg before she lived and worked in New York City. Today she is based in Munich, where she continues her practice as a painter.

Her style blends figurative modern art with delicate traces of abstraction.
